A Star

Seems like it's been awhile since I've done any creating. My darling hubby was in the hospital & that took a little umph out of my sails. But he's home again & I'm thankful.

Been thinking about our family reunion coming up this summer, so I created this frame to hold a picture of my oldest brother, Dare. Never done a frame before. pleased with the outcome, except in the picture you can't see the yellow stars I stamped right on the frame. Like the effect of the embossed stars in the corner.

Free advertising: Got the stamp set off of Listia. Got to check it out. It's a place you can auction off your stuff & get credit to get new stuff. Really satisfies my desire to shop, but costs me nothing. Good for my budget. Doesn't help me eliminate excess because I replace my excess with other excess. LOL

Here's a quick little card. I used some pick card stock I got as a prize from winning a Cosmic Strawberry challenge. the purple paper on got off ebay years ago. Same with the rose sticker & the glitter on the tail. The image is a freebie I got from Just some lines. They have some really beautiful digital stamps. I hand colored the image using stampin up watercolor pencils.

This was a quick little card I put together. I used a circle stencil on the card base with a yellow chalk ink...kind of hard to see, but nice & subtle. then I added the vellum sentiment from Quick Quotes. The rest was leftovers from who knows where. lol

Second post on my new blog. New card....got some goodies from Quick Quotes. The photo faded out a lot, but the papers are gorgeous purples & blues & greens.
